“Sonoma County's "probable" swine flu case confirmed”Well today I found out the Swine flu has reached Sonoma county, we all need to run to the hills now, lol but seriously all of this swine flu drama is a bit ridiculous.
It turns out that a 15 year-old girl returned from Mexico earlier this week is Sonoma County’s first confirmed case of swine flu. The girl has already fully recovered but she did in fact have the virus. The girl was never identified and she was cured before going back to school, hence the school she attends was never shut down.
“At this point there is no health risk in any of the 179 school sites. I don’t see it serving any purpose leveling the rise of concern.” This is a quote from the article and I agree completely. I actually think this whole swine flu thing is a bit ridiculous. Only one case has caused an infant to die, and infants have a high risk of dying from the flu. Everyone else that has contracted the virus has become better have a few weeks. I see this as just another type of flu, and think that it is being made into a bigger deal than it truly is.
