You

I Don't Believe You……

I don’t believe you……You told me you would always be there, that you would never leave my side. Once things began to swell it all went to hell. The taste of your lips on mine still remains, nothing has been able to replace them. I don’t believe you…… You held me close, said you wouldn’t let go. Things happened to fast, who were we to think it might last. The last time my eyes saw yours it was only a dream. I don’t believe you……You Made thing so much more difficult, but I can’t blame you. You said once it was done you’d call, but all that I did is fall. I know you’re not worth it, but I can’t help it. I don’t believe you……You were my guilty pleasure. It seemed like you just gave up, but I hadn't had enough. I don't think I can even forget you. I don't believe you.
…… You told me I was your love. It seemed to be right, but you just wanted to fight. I still can't say I'm happy now. I don't believe you……You said we wouldn't be apart. Then you say to move on and forget it, but I just don't get it.I don't believe you when you say don't come around here. I don't believe you……You are my bad influence, I’ve gone down your path now. I thought I would stay sober from it, but than my flame was lit. I have to let you go and now I believe you……

New Agenda

Things seemed to be going well, but what can I say, it's time for day without a gay. On December 10th, 2008, Gays, Lesbians, Transvestites and straights that support will not go to work, not go to school, and will avoid buying anything. This is to show that with out gays, lesbians, etc..... our economy would be even more screwed up.
Resident homosexuals and supporters from California, Arizona, and Florida are strongly suggested to take part in this civil protest. It is to show that with out us our cities, states and other avenues would not have the support they do.
I would personally like to take part in this as in I won't purchase anything on December 10th but i am not sure if I will go out and protest. The closest place with a protest going on that day is San Francisco. I still am not sure if I'll be at school though......lol.
It just still upsets me about the results of prop 8 but I believe that one day people will stop their ignorance ad learn everyone needs to be treated the same. To find out more about this topic please visit the fallowing link "Day Without A Gay"

Police crack down on cyclists in SR

It seems that police officers in Santa Rosa have been paying more attention to Bicyclists and how well they fallow the rules. On Thursday afternoon the police officers of Santa Rosa began pulling over bicyclist who were breaking the law. This was an attempt to show the city of Santa Rosa the offenses committed by bicyclists. 40 people were pulled over by police for either riding against traffic, running red lights and ignoring bike lanes. Out of the 40 people pulled over 27 received citations and 13 warnings. this mainly took place around downtown, Railroad Square, the Junior College area and Mendocino Avenue.
This was all a result to the accident Liz Garcia unfortunately had. She was riding on Mendocino Avenue on the night of Oct. 22. She was riding against traffic and ran a red light. She suffered massive head injuries and died.
The article failed to mention that Liz was going home after hanging out at the belvedere, a local bar in Santa Rosa. She had had a few drinks and no helmet. She right down the street from the belvedere and only lived about 2 blocks away. She was intoxicated and was unable to make right decisions. She was brain dead almost instantly and was kept on life support for a day so that family members could say good bye to her. I know this because Liz was my sisters friends best friend.
I actually believe it is safer to ride against traffic because you can see the cars in front of you. I don't wear a helmet while riding my bike, which I know I should, and I don't always use the bike lane. I still haven't had any accidents on my bike. I think a major reason for her accident was because she was drinking. She was very young and had such a long life to live. I guess this is a lesson in both Bicycle safety and drinking. Be Smart.

Free Zone

As of November 4th 2008, the State of California deemed same-sex marriage illegal. Many couples had ceremonies planned for the next few months, and all had to be canceled. Susan Hanley and her partner Louise Fuhr were supposed to have their wedding today but the Sonoma County Clerk's Office called them to tell them the very saddening new. The vote for proposition 8 was overwhelmingly on the no side in sonoma country, with a vote 66.1 percent to 33.9 percent. State wide the proposition passed by a margin of 52.5 percent to 47.5 percent. The propositions that were similar in Florida and Arizona won with even bigger margins.
Personally I am saddened by the fact that this proposition was passed. It doesn't only personally affect me, and the ones I love, but it also affects people all over. Just because the bible says it's wrong, doesn't mean the state has to agree. I believe that State and church should be completely separate. Why should I or anyone else have their right to marry taken away from them just because we are homosexual. It is not a choice, we are all born differently. We need to move on from the bigotry we live in. I know someday we will look back at this moment and say "WOW." It will only be a little longer 'till everyone is equal. We've come so far, but we've got so far to go.
